Shipping Container Delivery and Handover Process

1. Basis for container release and handover 
The release and handover of containers shall be based on the "Import Bill of Lading", "Export Order Form", "Depot Receipt" and the container delivery terms listed in these documents, and the "Container Equipment Handover Note" system shall be implemented. Units engaged in container business must go through the procedures of picking up (delivering), handing over (returning), entering (port), and leaving (port) of containers with the "Container Equipment Handover Form" issued by the container agent.



2. Division of Handover Responsibilities
(1) The handover between the ship and the port is bounded by the ship's edge.
(2) The handover between the port side and the cargo side (or its agent) and the inland (road) carrier is bounded by the port side inspection bridge.
(3) The handover between the yard and the transfer station and the cargo owner (or its agent) and the inland (road) carrier is bounded by the yard and the crossing of the transfer station.
(4) The handover between the port side, the yard transfer station and the inland (railway, waterway) carrier is bounded by the wagon and the ship's edge.

3. Handover of imported heavy boxes and suitcases
When the imported heavy container is lifted out of the port area, storage yard, or transfer station, the cargo owner (or its agent) and the inland (waterway, road, railway) carrier shall hold the "Import Bill of Lading" released by the customs to the container agency designated by the container agent. The on-site registration office handles the container release procedures.

According to the "Import Bill of Lading", the container delivery terms and the container transport operator's regulations on the use and lease of containers and their equipment, the container agent issues the "Departure Container Equipment Delivery Note" to the cargo party (or its agent) and the inland carrier. " and "Incoming Container Equipment Handover List". The cargo owner and the inland carrier shall pick up the heavy container at the designated location with the "Departure Container Equipment Handover Form" and handle the departure container equipment handover; location, and handle the handover of incoming container equipment.

4. Outbound heavy container delivery (receiving), incoming delivery
When the export container enters the port area, the cargo owner and the inland carrier will deliver the heavy container to the designated port area with the "Container Export Packing List" or "Station Receipt", "Incoming Container Equipment Handover Form", and handle the incoming container Device handover. The designated port area will collect heavy containers according to the "Export Container Pre-allocation List", "Incoming Container Equipment Handover List" and "Station Receipt", and handle the incoming container equipment handover.

5. Release and handover of empty boxes
When the empty container is lifted out of the port area, yard, or transfer station, the person who picks up the container (the cargo owner or its agent, the inland carrier) shall submit a written application to the container agent. According to the "Export Booking Form", "Station Receipt" or "Export Container Pre-allocation List", the container agent issues the "Departure Container Equipment Handover Form" or "Incoming Container Equipment Handover Form" to the carrier. The picker shall pick up the empty container at the designated place with the "Departure Container Handover Form", handle the handover of the departing container equipment, deliver the container to the designated place with the "Incoming Container Equipment Handover Form", and handle the incoming container equipment handover.

6. Procedures to be performed at Qingdao freight forwarding and delivery locations
The designated receiving and dispatching place shall handle the procedures for receiving and dispatching containers on the basis of the "Container Equipment Handover Form" issued by the container agent.
